Designed to partner with the student's school program, the Scottsdale Youth Orchestras were designed to develop the young musician's ensemble ability.  The goal of the players is to create a high level of artistry while developing the entire musician.  Bringing the riches of that talent to our players' schools further develops the music program within our players community and schools.  Players in grades 5-12 can audition for placement in the Scottsdale Youth Orchestras.  Younger, skilled players are admitted on a case-by-case basis.

 

The Scottsdale Youth Orchestra is a full orchestra comprised of serious musicians who seek a challenging experience playing the works of classical orchestral repertoire.

The String Ensemble and Wind Ensemble are preparatory groups for musicians who will ultimately have the opportunity to progress to the Scottsdale Youth Orchestra.

Students are admitted based on their ability and playing experience after successful auditions.  The groups rehearse weekly and perform approximately four concerts each year.
