Scottsdale Choral Artists
The Scottsdale Choral Artists are dedicated to creating the highest level of choral artistry through historically informed and musically inspired performances from all styles and periods. The SCA perform four major concerts a year including choral-orchestral works with the Scottsdale Arts Orchestra. In addition to symphonic works, the SCA broadens its body of repertoire by devoting concerts to chamber and unaccompanied choral works.
The 2009-2010 inaugural season opened with Mozart's "Requiem" and included a year of stunning masterpieces including Hanel's "Messiah", Britten's "Rejoice in the Lamb", and Bernstein's "Chichester Psalms." The year also included meaningful collaborations such as Rutter's "Mass of the Children" with the Scottsdale Children's Choirs and Scottsdale Arts Orchestra.
The SCA rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 7:30-9:30pm at Steinway of Phoenix-Scottsdale. The SCA is auditioning members throughout July and August. For audition information, please fill out an interest form or call 480.720.3398. You will be contacted within 48 hours with audition requirements and to schedule your audition.
